All day: ENEEP - Train the lecturersAll day: ENEEP - Train the lecturers All day The objective of the course is to demonstrate the educational capability of research reactors and their application in various engineering and non-engineering curricula. Four typical educational experiments will be carried out at the Training Reactor VR-1 to show the advantages of experimental education and hands-on activities and its "pedagogical added value" in increasing the quality of the educational process. In addition, a lecture on the use of research reactors in nuclear education and a discussion with all participants to share their educational experiences are included in the course programme. All day: ENEEP - Train the StudentsAll day: ENEEP - Train the Students All day The ENEEP Course “Train the Students” is devoted to detectors and their applications in nuclear science and technology. In the course, the basic operating principles of various neutron and gamma detector types will be presented and measurements will be performed using radiation sources or the core of the JSI TRIGA reactor as an intense source of neutron and gamma radiation. The participants will gain knowledge and practical experience with detectors of different types, widely used in the nuclear field (detection in nuclear environments, research, radiation protection) and in nuclear reactors themselves (in-core and ex-core instrumentation).
